Everyone Can Sing
Why do people really love to sing in the shower? Is it because they think no one can hear them? Or are they bored washing themselves and decided to amuse themselves by singing (sometimes, they sound like they scream at the top of their lungs). Singing is a part of our everyday life. Every time we go to work or school, the car radio is always on, music accompany us through traffics and boredom while driving. Or when we are in church, we always sing with the choir. And most especially, when we are in parties, oh, how we love to grab the microphone and sing our hearts out to the tune of our favorite songs.
We have to admit, it is one thing that we miss and cannot live without. Music can make or break our day. Some people, even get obsess with perfecting notes, and trying so hard to reach notes that are unreachable. Think about those Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey songs that we secretly wished we can imitate. And how it also secretly frustrates us when others can do it and we can’t. Doesn’t it ever occur to you that maybe, they know something or some techniques how they manage to pull the song passable enough?
Well, secrets should be shared. They say that anyone can sing. It is a matter of practice and hard work. Improving one’s voice can be achieved with proper training and guidance from the experts. You just have to remember that to accomplish that, you have to make certain sacrifices on your part and be dedicated to it.
Many people are afraid to try singing because they thought, they can’t do it. Some are too embarrassed to admit that they never tried. Well, time to put a stop to that. It is time that you should be heard, not only to listen to others. It is time come out of your shell. But first, you really have to want it, not only because someone told you to. Cooperation should be there for you to be able to obtain what you want.
It is best that you identify the type of your voice for you to be able to pick the right song to suit you voice. There are different songs for different voices, so you cannot force yourself to sing a song that is not within your voice range. It may only result to fiasco. Breathing is one important tool in singing. Correct breathing in singing comes from your diaphragm. Proper posture helps in achieving this. Singing with emotion supports you to deliver the song completely. Just the right emotion is needed. People respond to it if it done correctly.
Some of us thinks that, is it too late to get proper singing lessons when we are in our 40’s? Or 50’s? There is no age limit and it is never too late. When you feel that taking lessons will fulfill you, why hesitate just because someone thinks it is not enjoyable anymore. You might be surprised. Singing is for everyone. Anywhere we go; it is one of the universal languages when there is a language barrier present.
