Beauty is an art and so is being a celebrity so it is no surprise that many celebrities have been to cosmetology school. There are many careers in cosmetology even stylist to the stars. A celebrity stylists or makeup artist can make a considerable amount of income.

According to a recent article recently published on bellasugar.com there have been many celebrities that have gone to beauty school. For example, Sex and the City’s John Corbett went to cosmetology school. He stated that he had a girlfriend who was a cosmetologist and she seemed to really enjoy it. Of course, once his acting career took off he stuck to that. John is not the only A-list celebrity that has experimented in the beauty industry.

Mariah Carey is among those that went to beauty school. She eventually dropped out and during a recent concert admitted to the crowd that she had completed 500 hours of beauty school training.

Cheryl Hines attended beauty school right after high school. She said she wanted to have a stable backup plan in case acting didn’t work out.

Serena Williams is currently attending beauty school and standing to be a nail technician. She recently blogged about her endeavor and said that immediately after she arrived home from the Australian Open she did some research into cosmetology schools and enrolled in a course. The course allowed Serena to complete 240 hours which is the state minimum in Florida. Serena is still enrolled and plans on completing her certification this year.
